OSINT Subsystem

OSINT Subsystem

The Venice Inference OSINT subsystem extends Batch Document Search beyond the private corpus: selected entities become structured, triaged public-source evidence trails.

The tools point you where to look — you decide what it means.

Why OSINT Belongs Inside BDS

External research without browser-tab sprawl.

BDS helps you discover people, organizations, events, and relationships inside your private documents. The OSINT subsystem continues that workflow by probing selected entities against public and authorized external sources.

Instead of forcing an operator to manually open search engines, breach checkers, archive tools, username tools, and social platforms, OSINT gathers candidate evidence into a single review surface.

Workflow

One entity card. One probe. One evidence tree.

01

Start inside the corpus

Open an entity card discovered during BDS processing: a person, company, agency, matter, witness, executive, vendor, or other research target.

02

Select OSINT candidates

Review candidate handles, emails, aliases, phones, domains, and related identifiers derived from the corpus or entered by the operator.

03

Probe specialist sources

Run multiple public-source and enrichment checks in parallel, including account discovery, archive lookup, breach indicators, and search dorks.

04

Review the evidence tree

Results are grouped as parent searches and child findings, preserving the chain of evidence so reviewers can inspect how each lead was produced.

Trust Model

Signal, context, noise.

OSINT uses the same evidence-reading discipline as BDS. The system points where to look. The reviewer decides what it means.

StatusPlain-English meaningReviewer posture
signalStrong external evidence that appears directly relevant and worth review.Inspect source, provenance, and fit against the matter.
contextReal background information that may help frame the entity but may not establish significance by itself.Keep as supporting context, not a conclusion.
noiseWeak, mismatched, duplicated, or misleading result.Visible by default so reviewers can understand what was rejected.
Animation Prototype

Clip 4 — From corpus name to external trail.

The OSINT storyboard should show the same mental model as the BDS education clips: channels, status colors, and human interpretation. OSINT is a new surface, not a new trust model.

0–8s

Entity card

A corpus figure appears with internal wikilinks and document-derived context.

8–14s

OSINT tab

Candidate identifiers populate in a clean table.

14–22s

Probe selected

Specialist tools fan out while progress messages stream visibly.

22–45s

Evidence tree

Parent searches expand into child results. Signal, context, and noise rows preserve the chain of evidence.

Authorized research only

The OSINT subsystem is intended for authorized research, compliance-sensitive investigations, legal document review, vendor diligence, security review, and other professional workflows where external public evidence must be gathered carefully and documented.

Human judgment remains central

Venice Inference does not position OSINT as automated judgment. Findings are surfaced with provenance, status, and context so a qualified reviewer can decide what is relevant.

Private AI. Structured Evidence. Human Judgment.

Bring external intelligence into the same research environment as your documents.

BDS organizes the corpus. OSINT extends selected entities into public-source evidence trails. Together, they reduce manual research drag while preserving review discipline.
